These terms govern your use of the Ailectric app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Ailectric is an independent application built and operated by a single developer. Contact: [email protected].
1. What Ailectric is
Ailectric is a calculation and design aid for electrical professionals. It sizes conductors, selects protective devices, checks circuits against the standard you choose, and produces documentation from your inputs.
2. Professional responsibility — read this
Ailectric is a tool, not a substitute for a qualified professional. Every result it produces depends entirely on the values you enter and the assumptions you select. It cannot see the installation, the site conditions, or anything you have not told it.
The software can be wrong. Like any engineering software it may contain errors, out-of-date data, or defects that produce an incorrect result — including an incorrect conductor cross-section, an incorrect protective device rating, an incorrect discrimination or fault-loop result, or an incorrect compliance verdict. A result that looks reasonable may still be wrong. No result produced by Ailectric may be installed, energised or certified on the strength of the app alone.
Every result must be independently verified by a qualified electrician or electrical engineer before it is used. Treat Ailectric's output as a first draft to be checked, never as a final design.
You remain solely responsible for:
- independently verifying every calculation — cable sizing, protective device selection, discrimination, earthing and disconnection times — against the applicable standard;
- verifying every result against your local regulations and the requirements of your authority having jurisdiction;
- confirming that the inputs, installation method, and assumptions match reality on site;
- ensuring the design is reviewed, installed, inspected and certified by appropriately qualified and licensed persons;
- complying with all safety obligations that apply to your work.
Reference tables, manufacturer catalogue data and standards data in the app are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, superseded, or inapplicable to your situation. Always check against the current official standard and the manufacturer's own documentation before relying on a result. Do not use Ailectric as the sole basis for any safety-critical decision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any installation carried out using Ailectric, nor for any loss, damage, injury, fire, equipment failure, rework, rejected inspection or cost arising from an incorrect calculation, an under-sized conductor, an unsuitable protective device, a missed non-conformity, or any other error or omission in the app or its data. That responsibility rests with the qualified person who designs, verifies, installs and certifies the work. This does not limit the liability described in section 11 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. AI features
AI features are branded AIlectric and are powered by a third-party model. AI output is generated automatically and may be wrong. It is a suggestion to consider, never an instruction to follow. Treat every AI response as you would treat an opinion from an unverified source: check it before acting on it. Section 2 applies to AI output in full.
4. Your account
You need an account to sync projects and use AI features. Keep your password confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us an email address you control — we use it to verify your account and to reach you about the service. You may delete your account at any time.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Ailectric Pro is sold as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy and are charged by Apple or Google, not by us.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Contact them, not us, for a refund.
6. AI credits
- Pro includes an allowance of AI credits each month. Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing month and do not carry over — unused credits are lost at the reset.
- On an annual subscription, the monthly allowance is granted on the same day of each month as your purchase.
- Credits you buy separately never expire and remain available for as long as your account exists.
- Credits are consumed by AI use. When you run out, AI features stop until your allowance resets or you buy more; everything else in the app keeps working.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not exchangeable for money.
7. Acceptable use
Do not: use the app for anything unlawful; attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; resell or redistribute access to it; use automated means to consume AI credits or extract our data; or submit content you have no right to submit. We may suspend an account that does any of these.
8. Your content
Your projects and the data you enter remain yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, sync and process them so the service works for you. We do not sell your data and we do not use your project content to advertise to you.
9. Trade marks and manufacturer data
Manufacturer names and product family names are the trade marks of their respective owners. Ailectric uses them only to identify the equipment a selection is compatible with. Ailectric is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any manufacturer.
Product data shown in the app is indicative and derived from published manufacturer documentation. It may be incomplete or superseded. Always confirm against the manufacturer's current documentation before ordering or installing.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid feature materially, you may cancel your subscription through the store.
11. Limitation of liability
Ailectric is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we give no warranty that its calculations, data or compliance checks are accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular installation, and we do not warrant that the app is free from error.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contracts, or loss of data arising from your use of Ailectric, nor for any loss or damage arising from an installation designed, sized, protected, verified or certified using it — see section 2. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
12. Termination
You may stop using Ailectric and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the app ends; your paid subscription remains subject to the store's refund policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of Ailectric is established. If you are a consumer, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country in which you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Ailectric after that means you accept the updated terms.
